Color Correction and Repair

Spot Dye Correction
Stains happen when a substance has permanentaly changed the color or the textile from its original to another color. This means that there is no more soil to be removed with the use of a cleaning process or product. Or a change in color can be created by cleaning products accidentally coming in contact with the textile. A few examples of this are bleach, ammonia, acidic toilet bowl cleaners, and ultraviolet light. In the cast of these three, each affects the dyes in the textile differently.

Bleach will break down dyes in a specific order, ultimately removing the color completely from the fibers. It will also continue to break down dyes if it is not properly neutralized. Likewise, other cleaning products will break down specific color dyes.

Once a product has been neutralized, missing color dyes can be added in to create a seemless, permanent color match.

Color Clean
Over the course of a year, ultraviolet light will break down 2-3% of red and yellow pigments within a carpet. The human eye will only detect about a 10% shift in colors. Breaking that down, it would be about a five year span before you will truly see a measureable loss of color. What if there is a way to delay that color loss? There is. Color Clean is a process of carpet cleaning where, along with cleaning the carpets, 2-3% of the primary color of the carpet is added back into the carpet, prolonging the color life of the carpet.

Full Room Dyeing
Whether it's to blend large areas of sun fading, or to completely change the color of the rug, Full Room dyeing is an economical substitute to replacement where the structure of the carpet is still in good shape. Custom color options are available upon request.
