Wood Floor Cleaning

Dating back to possibly 1600 B.C.E, wood floors have adorned the floors of homes, buildings, and even caves. They make great, resiliant, and most often renewably sourced flooring. Flooring coming in a wide variety of widths, lenths and materials. Oak, cherry, bamboo, and pine are just some of the common floor varieties and can be customized in a variety of ways through stains.

Wood floors will typically be coated with polyurethane or similar coatings to seal and provide a barrier between the outside world and the wood flooring. A well maintained wood floor will last decades.

Care and Maintenance

Weekly sweeping and light mopping will go a long way to keep the floors looking clean. But subtly overtime, soil and cleaning products will build up on the surface of the floor. As a word of caution, it is our recommendation to not use any wax or topical shine products that are not specifially recommended or designed for your flooring. These can cause larger issues in removing their residue.

Once a year we recommend a thorough cleaning of your wood floors. The cleaning procedure is outlined to the right.
